چکیده

p r r o w t bstract berrations in the root canal anatomy are a commonly ccurring phenomenon. A thorough knowledge of the asic root canal anatomy and its variations is necessary or successful completion of the endodontic treatment. andibular second premolars usually have a single root nd a single root canal. The incidence of three separate oots itself in this tooth is quite rare, and the presence f four separate roots and four distinct root canals has ever been reported in literature so far. The use of piral computed tomography scan in this rare case reatly contributed towards making a confirmatory dignosis and successful nonsurgical endodontic mangement thereafter. Spiral Computed Tomographic Evaluation and Endodontic Management of a Mandibular Second Molar with Four Roots. A Case Report and Literature Review

The vast majority of mandibular second molars have two roots with three root canals; however, variations in molar root canal anatomy are not uncommon. To the best of our knowledge, four rooted mandibular second molar with three mesial roots and one distal root has never been reported. Herein, we present the endodontic management of a four rooted mandibular second molar tooth, diagnosed with the...

Mandibular Second Premolar with Four Canals

A mandibular second premolar with four canals is an interesting example of anatomic variations. This report describes a case of a mandibular second premolar with three roots and four canals (one mesiobuccal, two distobuccal and one lingual). The canals were prepared using K-files and irrigated with NaOCl (5.25%) and normal saline as the final irrigant. The canals were filled laterally with gutt...

Mandibular Second Premolar with Three Roots: A Case Report

Human mandibular premolars have earned the reputation for having an extremely complex root and root canal morphology. The incidence of multiple roots and canals in mandibular second premolars is lower than those in mandibular first premolars. Mandibular second premolars with three root canals and separate foramina are very rare. In this case report, endodontic management of a three-rooted mandi...

Management of a permanent maxillary first molar with two disto buccal canals with the aid of spiral computed tomography: a case report

Human molars show considerable anatomic variations with respect to number of roots and root canals. The most common form of the permanent maxillary first molar has three roots and four canals, two mesiobuccal canals and one distobuccal and palatal canal each. 98.3% of maxillary first molar have been reported to have a single distobuccal canal. Two canals were found only 1.7% of the time, hence ...
